A Chance of Fate Book Tour--#EXCERPT included

Chance McGregor is known as one of the toughest werewolves around. As the Dominion Creek Pack Guardian it’s his job to protect the pack and its laws. Even if that requires him to find his true mate or mate with someone of the council’s choosing. With the Mating Ceremony fast approaching – and Chance a very unwilling participant – he has more on his mind than pack safety. It’s enough to make even the baddest werewolf whine like a puppy.

Stephanie Taylor is finally making her way in the world. She’s out of a bad marriage, starting a business with her best friend in a great new town, and in control of her stable – if not sometimes boring – life. She can handle boring and she doesn’t need a man to tell her what’s best for her anymore.

When Chance runs into Stephanie on the street, he realizes that he found his woman. The problem is she’s a human. Not a problem for him though. Now all he has to do is convince her that they are meant to be together forever; talk the ever-meddling pack council into allowing the mating; and protect his pack from a group of rogue wolves wreaking havoc across the state. With their hearts, and lives, on the line Chance and Stephanie will do the only thing they can…

She pulled him closer, feeling all the tension he held in his body, wanting to relieve him of his pains and discomfort. And she couldn’t get enough of his mouth on her.

He pulled back a fraction and she took a much needed breath. He continued to drag his lips over her cheeks, then her jaw, and down her neck. She brought her hands back around to his chest. She needed to feel his skin against hers. As she started to open the buttons on his shirt, he grabbed her hands and started pulling away from her.

When he pulled back completely, she whimpered at the loss of his mouth on her. He closed his eyes, breathing deeply. He shook his head as if trying to clear his mind. He pulled her arms from around him and held her hands, all the while keeping his eyes closed. The tension she felt in him only increased.

For a moment, Steph wondered what happened. “Chance?” she questioned. “Didn’t he want this? Her?” she wondered. She knew she certainly wanted him. She’d known she wanted him since the moment he touched her hand on that sidewalk.

“Jesus, angel,” he hissed.”You test my control.” As if he had read her mind, he continued, “I want you more than my next breath. But I’m not going to take you here on the ground, like some hormone crazed teenager who can’t control his own desires.”

He ran his shaking fingers through his hair. Anything to keep from touching Steph again. If he touched her now, there would no stopping the inevitable. He wanted to feel her satin skin under his hands. Wanted to strip them of all their clothes and feel her naked against him. Wanted to explore her body, and discover the secrets of her pleasure. But he needed to stay focused. She needed to know where they were headed before he finally gave in to the passion overtaking their minds.

“And we need to talk before we lose our senses.” His voice was husky. As he tried to clear his throat, he felt like he needed a cold drink to quench his thirst. But he knew the only thing to quench his hunger was to have this beautiful creature writhing underneath him, calling out his name as they reached the peaks of ecstasy.

“Is talking really what you want to do?” she asked with a deep purr and she reached to touch him again.

“No, talking is most definitely not what I want to do.”
